This section deals with one of the three themes of the novel - climate change, resulting in global warming that threatens our civilization.

The section starts with those persons who have lead the fight against global warming, then it touches on the history of the fight by talking about the Kyoto Accord and then the recent Copenhagen and Cancun Summits, before dealing with the split between those who believe global warming is a threat and those who are unconvinced or deny it.

Churches and global warming - act now

It ends with the hero of the novel, the Sin Trader (Nick) setting out the many ways in which ordinary people can join the movement to fight global warming.

The Story

What is the link between seven obelisks that are sending out signals, a TV show on global warming, and a microbe that threatens the world’s oil supplies? And who is willing to kill to prevent others finding this link?

When Nick Kangles, the host of a global warming TV show, microbiologist Kate Stanton and Egyptologist Gliffy discover that an Egyptian obelisk in Rome is sending out signals, they set out on an increasingly dangerous hunt across Europe, Egypt and America to find the secret of the signals.
